Born on May 18, 1951, in the village of Kithana in Jhunjhunu district, Rajasthan, Dhankhar took the oath as India's 14th Vice President on August 11, 2022. This Sunday marked his 74th birthday.
In his capacity as Vice President, he also serves as the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. Prime Minister Modi took to the social media platform X to express his birthday greetings, stating, 'Happy birthday to our Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar Ji. His profound understanding of our Constitution is evident from his extensive experience as a leading lawyer.'
Furthermore, the Prime Minister highlighted Dhankhar's notable contributions to making the Rajya Sabha more effective and praised his dedication to social service. He wished for Dhankhar's long life and good health.
